Our Happiest Moments of the Holidays
Sorry for the late post...again. But not too much has happened since we got back from Hong Kong! We FINALLY got our shipment of stuff! Woohoo! Patience was definitely learned through this. Sorry the pictures are a little out of order, but they about sum up our Christmas and New Years week!
Our new family tradition that will be passed on for generations: Make the perfect Home-made Hot chocolate. It is SO yummy! This is the second attempt making this, the first was while we were dating. We will not change something on the recipe until we eventually make the best hot chocolate!
Our cute little tree... its still up.
He was a Super excited! I'm also excited to find these adorable gift bags at a market for only a few cents!!! They cost so much in the US. It's a cheap thrill that my family experiences.
I'm so blessed to have such an amazing husband.
We have too much fun with little shooting games like these! We are good with the nerf guns. Future advice to engaged couples, get nerf guns for each other.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY
An amazing view from Century Park
Sorry these are a little out of order. It is impossible to find Graham Crackers here! I was able to find this $25 gingerbread house on our online grocery shopping website!! I about died at the cost...but we were happy we got to have some holiday tradition here!
A little story about our stuff... I was told many times that our things would get to us sooner than it did. It finally got to China and had to go through customs. We were picked to go through a more detailed examination...which means that they had to go through some of our stuff, and make sure weren't smuggling anything in. Travis was able to go and be there while they went through our stuff, and told me that they had to keep it for a few more days because they had to finish paperwork. I was even more bummed knowing that my stuff had been here for a few weeks, but we weren't able to take it home. Already having a bad day, Travis came home and wasn't in the best mood either. We decided to go out to dinner. As we walk out the door, ALL of our boxes were sitting outside of our place!! I was SO excited!! Travis had tricked me and said that they were going to hold all of our stuff for a few more days, but really he was packing it all up and bringing it home!
On Christmas Day, we decided to go to a restaurant called Simply Thai. I didn't have the best experience eating here the first time (the first few days we were here in China). But this food was SO yummy! Also another surprise.. WE ARE GOING TO THAILAND!!!! We had to celebrate because we seriously can't wait to go and explore, and we are so excited that Mom and Dad Hatch will be able to meet up with us and Uncle Ron and Becky!
Happy New Years everyone, we hope you had a great holiday. We are so thankful for the friends and ward members here who have welcomed us into their homes for the holidays. It made it a lot easier to be away from home and family! Love and miss you all so much!
