Beginning of Life in China / Hong Kong

First, I'd like to begin by apologizing. Sorry for being horrible at updating this. I thought I'd be better at posting pictures, but I'm not. I did warn you though! I'm terrible at this kind of stuff. Any who, we have been so so busy! We got the amazing opportunity to go to Hong Kong last weekend. It has been my FAVORITE trip so far! It is a beautiful city. It highly suggest anyone who visits China to go there. It is crazy to think how different Shanghai and Hong Kong are. It really is two different cultures and lifestyles. Any who, I am just going to post a ton of pictures that should have been posted a while ago... But this is what we have done these last few weeks!

YES we totally rode an elephant.

Yuyuan Garden

The Bund

These aren't the best pictures and view of this place, but the buildings are incredible!! Can't believe we live in this city!
Happy Thanksgiving from the Hatch's! We were so blessed to have the opportunity to share Thanksgiving day with two families in the ward. Yes, we had a turkey and "American" foods. Too many people think we can't find that food here...

We were so bummed we couldn't make it to a session, but the building was closed for cleaning. At least we tried to get there!

Hong Kong Latter Day Saint Temple. It's a unique temple, but it certainly is gorgeous!

Out adventuring! We loved walking through the streets and seeing everything.

I don't know why, but I was in LOVE with this plant. The colors were magenta and super bright. As we can see, it is too easy to entertain me.

The Peak

Adorable restaurant that we loved. It viewed the jungle and ocean.

The Peak at night. The view was stunning!

Shek O Beach, Hong Kong

The "Mexico" of China

Who doesn't like a good ole kissing picture? We love them!

This was at the top of the small hill we hiked. It overviews the city, beach, and small town we were in.

Cutest little restaurant, and the food was so yummy!

"Life is too short to... Wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget [or forgive] about the ones who don't, and believe that everything that happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it." -Unknown

Friends and family, China has treated Travis and I very well. We have really enjoyed our short time here so far. Yes, we do have days that are better than others, and things can get frustrating, but as the poem said before, "...they just promised it would be worth it." We have grown so much in these last two months. We have learned so much about each other and China. We have had opportunities be presented to us that wouldn't have happened if we weren't here. Every decision that has led us here has been worth it. It is crazy to think where life is now when you look back to where you were a few years ago. There is one thing I know for sure... I wouldn't have it any other way! Travis has been the best thing that has had to me. I am grateful for the opportunities we have been presented to us, and the opportunity to live here. I am grateful for the church of Latter-Day Saints (LDS/Mormon), I have definitely felt like we just moved into a big family. With out the church, this move would have been a lot harder. I am grateful for the support of my family and friends. Lastly, I want to say that I am grateful for my Father in Heaven. He has certainly flooded us with blessings. There isn't a day that goes by where we aren't thankful for everything we have. I hope you enjoyed this huge post, and hopefully from now on, they will be more updated...:)
